Abstract
A water-soluble tetracarboxynaphthalocyaninatozinc was prepared by hydrolys is of a novel tetracyano naphthalocyaninatozinc for the first time. Some fa ctors affecting the kinds and yields of product are discussed and solvent e ffects affecting their visible absorption spectra are also reported. The co mpound showed a great tendency to form aggregate in NaOH solution. However, CTAB dissociated the aggregates to form cationic micelles. In DMSO, the de gree of aggregation was different, and the aggregates were demonstrated to be dimers. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
