Abstract
We have examined a lattice model of strip spreading in the presence of surface potential and repulsive interactions between adatoms. In part icular, we have analyzed adsorbate island evolution during the transit ion to a more stable configuration of adatoms. We present a concentrat ion profile evolution, corresponding diffraction pattern changes, diff usion coefficients obtained from Boltzmann-Matano analysis, and a dyna mic structure factor S(k,t).
