Abstract
A new diprenylated 3-arylcoumarin, named licocoumarin A, was isolated from Egyptian licorice together with two known compounds (kanzonol W, isoliquiri tigenin), and the structure was confirmed to be 3',8-diprenyl-7,2',4'-trihy droxy-3-arylcoumarin.
