Abstract
Acridine derivatives have been synthesized under microwave irradiation unde r solvent-free conditions using ammonium acetate supported on neutral or ba sic alumina and catalytic N,N-dimethylformamide. The obtained results show high yields. The specific "non thermal" effect produced by microwave irradi ation has been demonstrated.
