Abstract
The paper is primarily concerned with the problems arising in connection wi th the complex image Green's function computation in the near-field zone an d over the interface Ia multilayer dielectric media, The numerical difficul ties are investigated related to the cases where the source and, observatio n points are located along an axis perpendicular to lamination and the obse rvation point is located an the interface between two dielectric media, Met hods for resolving these difficulties when using complex image representati ons are presented. For near-field computation a range is determined within which the surface waves must not be extracted from the spectral representat ion. Ever the interface plane, to obtain a more accurate result, the comple x images should be placed in the medium identical to the unbounded region o r the medium with a lower dielectric constant.
