Abstract
Pr0.7Sr0.2Ca0.1MnO3 displays a ferromagnetic metallic-like to non-ferromagn etic insulator-like phase transition near 200 K and shows colossal magneto- resistance. The temperature evolution of its optical conductivity was measu red and the results were compared to those of La2CuO4.06 which is a superco nductor below 34 K. The growth of a peak in the conductivity around 10 meV upon cooling Pr0.7Sr0.2Ca0.1MnO3 strongly suggests a trapped-polaron contri bution to the conductivity.
