Abstract
Holistic dynamics of systems is a new and important in the context of a sys tem's life cycle. This paper develops the concept of holistic systems. It d iscusses the modelling of short (fast time) term (dynamics) and long (slow time) term energy processing (evolution) during the life of the system, and the incorporation in the holistic model of the system thus the holistic mo del of the system describes the system evolution as well as its dynamic beh aviour. System decomposition methods are discussed. The paper presents the principle of holistic modelling of system decomposed in subsystems and thei r energy transformation in particular.
