Abstract
Tumours of smooth muscle origin are extremely rare in the upper aerodigesti
ve tract. Immunohistochemical studies are helpful for accurate diagnosis of
leiomyosarcoma. Here, we report a case of well-differentiated laryngeal le
iomyosarcoma that showed rapid local growth but no metastasis. Diagnosis an
d treatment of leiomyosarcoma are discussed.
