Abstract
The role of oxygen will be discussed in comparing some experimental tapes t o a commercial Hi8ME tape. Both the oxygen flow and the deposition rate pla y an important role in understanding how oxygen is incorporated in the film during the evaporation process. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V.
