Abstract
This paper presents an overview of some legal implications of the applicati on of telemedicine to veterinary medicine. As in other areas of medicine, v eterinary practitioners need to be aware that remote practice or consultati on requires adherence to the same professional standards as in normal clini cal veterinary practice. Licensing, confidentiality and malpractice are dis cussed.
