Abstract
Epipolops rettenmeyeri is described as a new species from Ecuador and Peru. A key to the known species of Epipolops H.S. is included. E. meridionalis Piran is reduced to a junior synonym of E. frondosus H.S. New country recor ds are given for three species. The systematic position of the genus is sum marized.
