Additions to the known Xylariaceae (Hymenoascomycetes, Xylariales) of Sonora, Mexico

Xylaria feejeensis in its strict sense constitutes the first record to Mexi co. Daldinia eschscholzii and X.poitei are reported for the first time from Sonora state. Teleomorphic and anamorphic data of X. striata, a taxon prev iously reported from Argentina (as X. deserticola) and China are given. Xyl aria striata var. sonorensis var. nov, is proposed on the grounds of its sm aller stromata and shorter ascospores, as compared with the typical variety .
