Abstract
The decomposition states of Cu-0.9at.% Ti alloys after heat treatment at 62 3 K are characterized by electron microscopy. A quasiclassical nucleation t ype that exhibits a nucleation barrier near the thermal energy, the so-call ed catastrophic nucleation, can be established. This result is confirmed by thermodynamic calculations.
