Ug. Meissner et H. Weigel, The parity-violating pion-nucleon coupling constant from a realistic threeflavor Skyrme model, PHYS LETT B, 447(1-2), 1999, pp. 1-7
We study the parity-violating pion-nucleon coupling G(pi) in the framework
of a realistic three flavor Skryme model. We find a sizeable enhancement of
G(pi) similar or equal to 0.8 ... 1.3 . 10(-7) compared to previous calcul
ations in two-flavor models with vector mesons. This strangeness enhancemen
t stems from induced kaon fields of the chiral soliton and the non-monotono
us dependence on symmetry breaking of the nucleon matrix element of the fla
vor singlet piece of the operator associated with these induced fields. Bot
h features are sensitive to four quark operators including an (s) over bar
s pair. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
