Abstract
One hundred and thirty-sis patients sith adolescent idiopathic scoliosis tr eated with Boston brace, received a questionnaire approximately 3 years aft er the termination of treatment. The aim was to identify the strenuous fact ors or bracing and to examine the social impact of this treatment. Bracing does affect the patients social life even after weaning. Girls seems to be more vulnerable than boys The social debilitating effects of bracing are le ss pronounced in adolescents less than 16 years at weaning.
