Abstract
We have previously observed that interferon (recIFN alpha 2b) blocks the pr ocess of morphogenesis of Mayaro virus in TC7 cells (monkey kidney). In thi s work we show that IFNa inhibits preferentially virus glycoproteins and th eir precursors, and this effect is probably correlated to the alterations i n the morphogenesis process previously observed.
