Abstract
The heterovalent trinuclear oxo bridged compound [Fe-2(III) (FeO)-O-II(CF3C OO)(6)(OPPh3)(3)] was characterised by IR and Moessbauer spectral analysis. Cyclic voltammetric study at stationary platinum electrode was performed i n dimethylsulfoxide with 0.1 M tetrabutylammoniumperchlorate as supporting electrolyte. The voltammograms recorded in the potential range +0.2 to -1.6 V exhibit four reduction waves (only the first one is reversible). The ele ctrochemical standard rate constant of the reversible charge transfer step was established.
