Abstract
Enantiopure polyunsaturated bis(ferrocenyl)aldehydes 7a-c were prepared fro m the chiral ferrocenylimine 2b. The key reaction is a Siegrist condensatio n between 2b and bis-methylarenes 4a-c. Sequential introduction of two diff erent styryl groups also gave the tris-unsaturated ferrocenecarboxaldehyde 9.
