Abstract
Various types of diethylphosphono-substituted alpha-allenic alcohols have b een readily prepared. Treatment of these compounds with a catalytic amount of silver nitrate under a nitrogen atmosphere provided the corresponding 4- (diethylphosphono)-2,5-dihydrofurans.
