Abstract
A stereoselective synthesis of the C-1-C-32 macrocyclic domain of phorboxaz ole A is described. Key steps have examined the convergent linkage of two m ajor components for the formation of the C-19-C-20 (E)-alkene, and the subs equent intramolecular (Z)-olefination at C-2-C-3 for ring closure of the ma crocycle.
