Abstract
As part of a population-based longitudinal study, eve examined the use of lipid-lowering medication in 3,824 patients hospitalized with acut e myocardial infarction in the Worcester, Massachusetts metropolitan a rea between 1986 and 1993, The rate of utilization of lipid-lowering m edication either before (1.8%) or during hospitalization (1.9%) for ac ute myocardial infarction was low.
