Abstract
The X-ray image intensifier converts an X-ray image into a bright visible l ight image. This enables image recording as well as viewing without dark ad aptation. This tutorial describes the construction and function of the imag e intensifier tube and its associated optics. (C) 1999 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
