Abstract
A new locality of Late Cretaceous (probably Early Maastrichtian) age near C ruzy (Herault, southern France) has yielded a varied vertebrate assemblage consisting of lepisosteid fish, albanerpetontid and anuran amphibians, pleu rodiran and cryptodiran turtles, squamates (including varanoids), mesosuchi an and eusuchian crocodilians, dinosaurs (abelisaurids, dromaeosaurids, tic anosaurids and Rhabdodon) and enantiornithine birds. This fauna provides ne w evidence about the composition of Late Cretaceous European ecosystems. (C ) Academie des sciences / Elsevier, Paris.
