Av. Kornilov et Vm. Pudalov, A spherical small-sized hydrostatic-pressure cell for measuring anisotropic galvanomagnetic effects, INSTR EXP R, 42(1), 1999, pp. 127-129
A champed hydrostatic-pressure cell, which can be rotated in two planes in
the gap of a magnet, solenoid, and cryostat, is described. The cell ensures
the maximum possible mechanical strength for the given dimensions due to i
ts spherical body shape and the almost spherical shape of the internal cavi
ty. The chamber is fully made of nonmagnetic materials and provides a press
ure of up to 2.5 GPa at an external diameter of 23 mm (for a cavity 3.6 mm
in diameter) or 2.0 GPa at an external diameter of 16 mm (for a cavity 3 mm
in diameter).
