Abstract
Accurate vapor-liquid equilibrium (VLE) data have been measured for the sys tems 2-butanol + water at 318.19 K, 338.37 K, and 353.45 K and for 2-butoxy ethanol + water at 363.18 K and 371.19 K. The VLE measurements were done wi th a Stage-Muller dynamic still. The binary data reported satisfy thermodyn amic consistency tests. In addition, the liquid-liquid equilibria for the s ystem 2-butoxyethanol + water have also been measured at these temperatures .
