Abstract
The oxidation kinetics of C-4-C-10 aliphatic aldehydes by quaternary ammoni um permanganates, R4NMnO4 (R = ethyl, butyl and octyl), in dichloromethane is reported with special regard to the colloidal manganese(iv) intermediate .
