Abstract
Cycloalkanes and arylalkanes are transformed into their related alcohols an d ketones in moderate to high yields and selectivities at room temperature with sodium periodate in the presence of manganese(iii) tetraarylporphyrin complexes associated with imidazole and tetra-n-butylammonium bromide in CH 2Cl2-H2O solution.
