Abstract
Managerialism is beginning to replace militarism as a paradigm for socially constructed ideals of masculinity (masculinism). The rise of managerialism in the British public sector clearly demonstrates the links between Patria rchal power and the logic of capitalism. Thus the significance of manageria lisation within the public sector is that it plays a key role in the reasse rtion of patriarchal power and masculinist values at both ideological and s tructural levels.
