Abstract
A pressure-implicit integration method is presented which overcomes the sev ere time step restriction usually encountered when explicit integration met hods are used in the simulation of pressure relief of gas-generating reacti ons. The pressure-implicit method is much simpler to implement in a simulat ion program than a fully implicit method. Its application leads to a consid erable reduction of the computation time compared to the use of explicit me thods. (C) 1999 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
