Abstract
It is experimentally established that transparent polycrystalline ZnS:Te is capable of efficiently converting ionizing radiation into light, and that a scintillator based on it has a fast response. It is shown that ZnS:Te is promising Far recording high-energy protons and alpha particles and far ide ntifying particles with respect to charge (Z identification).
