Abstract
The synthesis, spectroscopic characterisation and single crystal structure are reported for the novel tetranuclear cluster compound [Pd-4(mu-SO2)(2)(m u(3)-S)(CO)(PBz(3))(4)], obtained when [Pd-2(p-dba)(mu-SO2)(PBz(3))(2)] (db a=dibenzylideneacetone, Bz=benzyl) is reacted with COS which fragments to g ive independent CO and S ligands on a tetrahedral cluster.
