Styrene has higher productivity than ethene during copolymerisation with ca
rbon monoxide using [Pd(COCH3)((PN)-N-boolean AND)(solv)]O3SCF3 (where (PN)
-N-boolean AND is a phosphanyldihydrooxazole ligand), while ethene, not sty
rene, is preferentially enchained during the terpolymerisation probably ref
lecting the different reactivity of the two possible alkyl intermediates to
ward carbon monoxide insertion.
