Abstract
We present experimental results for frequency tuning of a continuous-wave t ype-II phase-matched doubly resonant optical parametric oscillator (OPO). T he OPO was pumped by a frequency-doubled diode-pumped solid-state laser ope rating at a 532 nm wavelength. We used a traveling-wave bowtie ring cavity, and the proper conditions were established to make the signal and the idle r waves resonate simultaneously. With angle tuning, the output frequency tu ning range was 1057 nm similar to 1071 nm, and the fine-tuning range with a piezo-electric transducer was about +/- 2 nm. The tuning range and the exp erimental tuning characteristics were in good agreement with the theoretica l calculation.
