Abstract
The concept of the equivalent thermal conductivity of functionally gradient materials (FGM) was presented, together with the introduction of a method to calculate it. This method has its significance not only in guiding the d esign of composition, structure and properties of FGM, but also in accelera ting the process of their utilization.
