Abstract
We report for the first time the experimental results for special diffracti ve phase elements (DPE's) capable of implementing the desired functions in rotationally symmetric optical system. Experiments demonstrate that the fab ricated DPE's can satisfactorily realize the combined functions, for instan ce, demultiplex different wavelength components and focus each component at a preset position simultaneously, produce tricolor annuli, and generate du al-chromatic point/ring pattern. The experimental results are in good agree ment with those of the theoretical designs.
