Abstract
Go-condensation of indium vapor and tertbutylphosphaethyne at 77 K yields t wo new, volatile In(I) complexes: [In(eta(5)-P3C2Bu2t)] (1) and [In(eta(5)- P2C3Bu3t)] (2). A single-crystal X-ray diffraction experiment on I reveals a discrete molecular structure, involving half-sandwich coordination of the P3C2Bu2t ring around the indium center. 1 may be independently prepared by treating InI with the newly synthesized, base-free ligand salt K(P3C2Bu2t) .
