Abstract
A brief review of recent studies in the field of photostimulated surface pr ocesses is given. Our consideration is restricted to the simplest model sys tems which may be described as a single atom adsorbed-sn a solid surface. T heoretical interpretation of experimental data enables us to relate the pho toinduced dynamics of adsorbate to the surface atomic structure of the subs trate.
