The energy spectrum of delayed neutrons from the beta decaying odd-mas
s nuclei is estimated within the quasiparticle Tamm-Dancoff approximat
ion. A complex single particle representation is used in order to desc
ribe the neutron escape widths. Qualitative agreement with the energy
spectrum of delayed neutrons from beta decaying I-137 nucleus is obtai
ned. Sensitive behavior of the neutron spectrum versus the neutron gap
