Abstract
The separation of palladium from platinum from aqueous hydrochloric acid so lutions using pyrazole derivatives as extractants is described. The role of sigma donicity of the extractants, their stereochemistry and their behavio ur in repetitive cycles are illustrated. Their Pd specificity in relation t o Cu(II) and Fe(III) which are also present in the industrial feed solution is also indicated.
