Abstract
Radical addition of a xanthate to an N-allylanilide or to a substituted 4-a ryl-1-butene followed by cyclisation onto the aromatic ring provide the cor responding indoline or indane respectively. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
