Abstract
The reaction of alpha,beta-unsaturated carbonates was carried out in DMF in the presence of PdCl2/dppb (5 mol%), CO and L-alanine at 65 degrees C for 4 days to give the beta, gamma-unsaturated amide intermediate of antillatox in in good yield.
