Extensive multifocal retroperitoneal and intraperitoneal fibrosis (Ormond's disease)

Retroperitoneal fibrosis (RPF) represents a fibrotic process in the retrope ritoneal space, in which the aetiology is unknown in the majority of patien ts (60%). Only few patients have additional fibrotic manifestations outside the retroperitoneum. This article aims at reporting on a case of extensive retroperitoneal fibrosis asociated with an intraperitoneal manifestation i n the greater omentum. Diagnostic procedures, treatment modalities and the current literature are presented.
