Abstract
The 5-month angiographic in-stent restenosis rate did not differ between pa tients with chronic total occlusions (n = 43) and subtotal stenoses (n = 43 ) equally matched for diabetes status, exact stent design, final expanded s tent diameter, stent length, and residual percent diameter stenosis after s tent placement; it was 32.5% and 27.9% for those with chronic total occlusi ons and subtotal stenoses, respectively (p = 0.638). Furthermore, the stent occlusion rate (4.6% vs 6.9%, respectively) was low in both patient groups .
