Abstract
A new form of the QR factorization procedure is presented which is based on a generalization of the Householder transformation. This extension is a bl ock matrical form of the usual Householder procedure which leads to a dicho tomic algorithm which allows parallel implementation. (C) 1999 Elsevier Sci ence Ltd.
