Abstract
A rapid test procedure is proposed for the detection and semiquantitat ive determination of total iron and weakly bound iron species with the use of an indicator paper. Phenylfluorone was used as the indicator. The detection limit of iron (II, III) was found to be 0.2 mg/L at a fi ducial probability of 0.95.
