Abstract
The application of Fourier transform (FT) Raman spectroscopy to two pi gment samples of mediaeval wall paintings and the identification of th e pigments used are reported. The potential of FT-Raman spectroscopy a s a non-destructive technique to examine valuable artistic and archaeo logical artefacts is demonstrated. (C) 1997 by John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
