Abstract
A useful preparation of an ethylenediamine derivative linked to D-glucose, 2,3-diaminopropyl beta-D-glucopyranoside, has been described. The optically pure compound was obtained conveniently via recrystallization of the diast ereomeric mixture of the diazido precursor. The stereochemistry of the ethy lenediamino compound was elucidated by X-ray crystallography. (C) 1998 Else vier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
