Abstract
Homogenization of thin composite layers (single-layer arrays of small scatt erers) is considered. A simple approximation valid for high density of comp lex-shaped inclusions is proposed. The physics of the approximation is disc ussed on the base of an example of grids of parallel conducting wires.
