We demonstrate the feasibility of a wavelength-division-multiplexed transmi
tter using a single femtosecond laser and generating 110 channels at 2.35 G
b/s, Chirped-pulse wavelength-division multiplexing is used to carve channe
ls spaced by about 0.3 nm out of the broad spectrum of the laser, A 64-fold
increase in bit rate per channel is accomplished through optical time-divi
sion multiplexing.
