Abstract
Error probability of an adaptive multiuser diversity receiver is evaluated in terms of channel fading rate and the number of code-division multiple ac cess users. Fading-induced performance loss, which leads to error probabili ty poor, is established for the proposed coherent combining scheme and comp ared to that of differentially coherent receiver with equal-gain combining.
